Meet the staff

This is Mrs Ward, the Headteacher, who is responsible for the high standard of education the children receive. She has a teaching commitment with Year 6 pupils, as well as managing the organisation and smooth running of the school.

The other members of the teaching staff are:
Mr Groarke, Assistant Headteacher, who stands in for Mrs Ward when necessary. In addition to his management responsibilities he teaches Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children.
Mrs Kennedy is the Co-ordinator for Special Educational Needs, and is responsible for the Foundation Stage. She teaches Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. She also looks after our pre-school groups when they come each week.
Miss Ryder teaches Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 children.
Mrs Cioffi works two days each week teaching all the children.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of support staff (Teaching Assistants) who work in all the classes with individuals and groups of children.
The Midday Assistants look after the children at lunchtimes. Our cook and her assistant prepare and serve the meals.
The office runs like clockwork thanks to the efforts of Mrs Bridges, who works Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays, and Mrs Honeyford (Thursdays & Fridays).
The school is kept tidy and clean by our hard-working cleaners, whilst our lollipop ladies brave the weather and the traffic to make sure that the children get to and from school safely.
